Talk It Out

Did you know having a simple five-minute intimate conversation with your spouse or partner following an argument can give your immune system a boost?

In two studies, researchers measured immune system function in couples exposed to experimental conflicts, and found the simple communicative technique enhanced immune functioning for up to 18 hours after the conflict.

In the couples that experience the most discord and didn't take the time to talk it out, one or both partners showed evidence of a repressed immune system for up to 18 hours afterwards.

So, take five minutes and smooth things over.  Your body, and your partner, will thank you for it.
