Caregivers, Take Care
When you're taking care of someone who is sick, perhaps a spouse, an aging parent, or a child, it is more important than ever to make time for your own health.
A new study reported in the Journal of the American Medical Association suggests that the stress of caring for a sick spouse puts the caregiver's own health at risk and can even increase an elderly caregiver's risk of dying.
So, caregivers, save some of the TLC for yourself. You'll have more energy to tend to your loved ones if you get enough sleep, eat well, exercise, and see your doctor regularly.
