The Unbearable Lightness of Seeing
If you're one of the millions of Americans who spend interminable hours in front of a computer screen, chances are that you have experienced eyestrain from time to time. But, don't be too quick to blame the monitor -- it may be the ambient lighting that is the culprit.
Too much overhead light and poorly directed lighting can cause screen glare that can aggravate your eyes. If the lights above your desk are exceptionally bright, consider taking out a bulb or two. Redirect other sources of light, so they do not reflect off your computer screen.
